Edward C.T Wong & Company was found in 1982 by its founder, Mr. Edward Chee Tong Wong. Mr. Wong was the solicitor in charge of the conveyance department of the renowned solicitors firm in Hong Kong. Deacons, before he found his own firm. He came from a family of philanthropists, which includes the famous Madam Wong Fung Ling, after whose name many schools and non-profit making institutes in Hong Kong have been named.
The firm has been found on the basis of the same philosophy, that is, to serve the public with a conscience. Although Mr. Wong has now retired, this tradition is still being observed and carried out by the now managing partner, Mr. Gordon Chan, who is one of the senior members on the Rolls of Solicitors, admitted in 1982.

The firm was founded in March 1982 by the founder, Mr. Edward Chee Tong Wong. He was registered as a solicitor in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom in 1970 and joined Deacons. When he left Deacons in 1973, he was the head of the property transfer department.
At present, the two partner lawyers, consultant lawyers and senior staff of the firm lead other employees to deal with property transfer, commercial contracts, civil litigation, criminal proceedings, inheritance, divorce cases, intellectual property cases, and Chinese notary.
